re-freshing celery
I actually have a kitchen tip this week to share with you all!
I’m really good about buying celery cause I know how healthy it is and I figure I’ll eat it for snacks and all. Problem is, a lot of times I don’t eat it. I get lazy and don’t feel like cutting it, and washing it, in order to have a snack. It sits in the crisper and I pay no attention to it for a week or so, and then I try to eat it before it goes bad. Unfortunately it’s usually gone rubbery and no fun to eat. Then I came across an idea (can’t remember where) to cut the stems off at the bottom and place them in a tall bowl or pitcher, put a couple inches of water in the bottom, and stick it in the fridge for a couple hours. Definitely makes it crispier!
(supposedly, you can also wrap in in tin foil before you stick it in the fridge and it keeps it from going rubbery. Haven’t tried it yet though)
If you wanna check out some more kitchen tips, or even find some recipes, head over to Tammy’s site.

Ha! So I’m not the only one who buys produce and then lets it go bad in their fridge. I’m just not sure it’s a good thing that you made me feel better that I’m not alone in that terrible habit.
Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Guilty as charged. How funny to hear that others have great intentions too. Great tip. Thanks, kelly
