Baby Bump Update, week 10: To Pee or Not To Pee
I had my first OB appointment yesterday and although I saw her for like 5 minutes, everything seems to be fine. They didn’t bother checking for a heartbeat since they rarely seem to find one before about 12 weeks. And she also scheduled me for an ultrasound on Friday. I guess that’s the one and only good thing to come out of having PCOS! I always get an early ultrasound to check the actual age of the baby.
Now for the stats.
The baby
Just over an inch long and weighs as much as 4 whole paper clips. And it’s most likely lost it’s little tail.
How I feel
Still tired, but the great thing about this pregnancy is that I’m home. So when the little guy goes down for a nap I can too if I need it. And I’m totally enjoying it while it lasts! Other than that, just a bit nauseous every now and again. Still haven’t actually thrown up (I didn’t last time either) so all in all I’m feeling alright. Only issue I have is the whole waking up every night feeling like I gotta pee. And then it takes forever to get back to sleep. But again, I’m enjoying the naps.
My house
Still a total disaster. But I did vacuum yesterday. After Jodi stopped by with the chocolate I won and I made some mention that I hadn’t done my floors in forever. I started feeling guilty and pulled out the vacuum later that night.
(fyi, if you haven’t stopped over at Jodi’s site, do so. She’s honest, she’s funny, her and her hubby, who I know from highschool, have a super cute little girl and a baby boy. And she posts the cutest things she finds on etsy!)
The weight
Which by the way, I never go by the doctors scale. I swear that thing adds like 10 pounds. If it wasn’t out in the open, I’d be stripping before I stepped on. But anyways, I’m up about 2 pounds.
The bump
Just barely noticeable to anyone else. Me? I notice it a lot. Luckily low rise pants are all the rage yet, so I’m good to go for clothes for now, no maternity yet! Although when I do have to make the switch I’ll most likely have to buy some new duds since all my maternity clothes are for summer. T-shirts just won’t cut it in January.

Hey Donielle – thanks so much for the mention
haha, you’re so funny – that you got your vacuum out later that night. Come to think of it, I probably need to get mine out too.
I have quite the gammet of maternity clothes, when you’re in need – let me know what sizes and I’ll put together a bag for you to borrow if you’d like. I was pregnant with both kids through the winter – so I’ve got some selection.
So glad you’re getting an ultrasound!! When you said “she” in your post I first thought you were talking about the baby – but then realized it was the doc. Hope all goes well!!

I’ll be calling you when my clothes don’t fit!
I think it may be sooner than later this time around.
Kinda indulged a bit to much over the summer. Eh, who am I kidding? I don’t work out anymore!
and I totally think this one is another boy. Feels exactly the same as the first pregnancy. It’ll be fun to find out, but I’ll be totally surprised if it’s a girl.
and I also totally filled the vacuum bag after one sweep through the house. How sad is that?
and I totally use the word totally way to much. At least it’s not followed by ‘rad’!

Do you have a midwife? Will you be doing a natural pregnancy and childbirth?
