Pad Thai with tofu is definitely a favorite in our house. Also enjoy Thai Chicken Sesame noodles.

I'm so glad that you've discovered Thai food! Such a great cuisine, isn't it? My only problem is the spiciness - I'm a wimp. Luckily, my favorite local Thai restaurant is great about making their spicy dishes much milder for me, and I just leave out the chiles when I make it myself. Off to check out that cookbook giveaway!

Love, love, love Thai food! Pad Thai is my favorite, but in general it is just good. Try more authentic Thai food and you will probably like it better. You may have just gotten something you don't like the first time but there is a wide variety of things to taste. Glad you found one thing you like so far!

Having grown up in Thailand, I am a Thai food fanatic. And I have to say that if your only experiences with Thai food is through Thai Kitchen, please don't judge all Thai food from that!

I have converted many, many of friends to a deep love of Thai food in the ten years since I've lived back here in the USA. Some of my favorite dishes are Masaman curry, Thom Khai Ghai (chicken/coconut milk soup), and Thom Yam Gung (shrimp soup) to name a few. The best thing about Thai food, though, is the rice--Jasmine rice as it is known in this country. BEST rice in the world!

And for all those who don't like rice because it comes out mushy, I recommend two things.
1. Use about 1/2 of the water that normally is recommended
2. Buy a rice maker. You can get little ones for about $10 that will feed a family, and it is so much easier than making rice on the stove.
