A question about pregnancy.....We are working towards getting ready to try and get pregnant.(trying to loose 10 more lbs first). Cutting out sugar has really helped! Anyway, I just watched "The Business of Being Born" and it was very eye opening. I have always wanted to have a natural birth with no pain killers! This movie definitly confirmed that for me. So, how do I even begin finding a midwife or doula? I dont really know much about how it all works and when to even begin looking for one. Any advice or books that would be helpful?

And I'm currently pregnant with my first so I'd say the one thing I wish I knew was how to balance trying to make good decisions (both nutritional and otherwise) without worrying too much. I feel like I alternate between being too crazy about little things and then trying to relax and being too complacent. And I have a feeling it will only get worse once the baby comes!

I'm really interested in their sprouted flour. A lot of the things I bake at this point are soaked but it would be great to have some sprouted flour on hand for when I am desperate for some cookies or quick breads.

The one thing I would like to know about getting pregnant is how you know you are getting the amount of nutrients you need. We are starting off slowly, so I don't get overwhelmed, but what are the musts to have in your diet while trying to get pregnant?

I would love to try so many of the items he has on his website. My first would be the wheat berries. I have not been able to buy them yet to make cream of wheat. I love and miss cream of wheat. The cereal mixes would be great to try as well, since I have not made my own yet. The organic wheat would be nice to try, since I am going to start making some bread in the near future. I will have to keep this website in mind, so I can order items I have not found in my local whole food store. Thank you for writing about it.

Since we want to ttc #3 but I do not feel like I am ready yet health wise (weight, exercise, nutrition etc) what are the best ways to start to prepare your body and how long before really ttc do you need to be "ready" health wise?

I wish i had known about the perils of placenta previa.. both of my pregnancies were plagued by this condition and has effectively put an end to any desires we may have had for a third child.
