A Baby Shower Feast

I’m so excited that you’re able to join me in celebrating the upcoming arrival of our friend Amy’s newest blessing!

If you are one of my regular readers currently struggling with the pain of infertility, I understand if you don’t stop by this week. I’m certain Amy, a mama who has struggled with infertility and loss herself, understands as well. I’ll see you again soon!

Come on in and kick your shoes off! Bathroom is down the hall, and if you brought a little one, the toys are downstairs!

One of the best parts about attending a shower is the food! Oh how I wish you all could come on over for real so we could chat over some fabulous food while we watch Amy open her gifts. Eh, well. Guess I’ll just have to enjoy it all to myself then.

I always have a fruit salad at showers, it’s one of those ‘must have’ dishes!
Followed of course by the veggies and dip, gotta show the veggies some love too!

Chips and salsa is usually a must have at our family functions as well….

And while we have the salsa and avocado aioli out, how about I just make some tacos for the main course? Perhaps on some homemade tortillashomemade seasoning? with For a party you just have to go all out – and why snack when you can eat?!

Before I forget (like I usually do!) I should get the homemade grape soda out of the fridge so that we can all enjoy that as well!

And of course, we can’t forget dessert – it’s only the highlight of the party!! I thought about making some gluten free chocolate cupcakes for you, but it just so happens that I don’t have a few of the ingredients on hand. Instead, I’ll whip up some super simple black bean brownies (don’t knock it till you try it – they are AWESOME!) And extra fabulous with a dollop of freshly made whip cream on top!

I do hope you enjoy yourself this week, please let me know if I can do anything to make your stay more comfortable!
