My Chunky Monkey

I figured it was about time to put up baby girls 2 month update now that she’s 10 weeks old. :-)

She’s got lots of chunky rolls and is growing fabulously! I weighed her just the other night and she’s 10lbs 12 oz already and 23 inches long! Since I didn’t take her in for her 2 month check at the doctors, I’m making sure to do all the weighing and measuring myself. I might take her in for her 4 month. Might. We’ll see. For me it just doesn’t make sense when i know she’s healthy and growing well to spend $30.00 for a copay when all they do is weigh and measure her. (we currently aren’t getting her vacc’d at this point.)

She still eats about every 3 hours during the day. She still does great at night as well. From about 3 weeks old, shes slept 6-7 hours at a time and she’s slowly increasing it to about 8 hours. Except her night starts at about 8:00pm, so I do end up laying her in her Moses basket in our room when she goes to bed and then I usually get up about 3 or 4am and head out to the couch and finish off the night there. (sleeping while nursing – the ultimate lazy mom move!)

She’s also a really happy baby most of the time and rarely fusses unless she’s dirty or tired. She basically just snorts instead of crying too. The only time she really cries is when she wakes up! So different from Cody. Although, I think now that most of Cody’s fussiness came from my eating to much wheat and dairy while I was nursing him. Maybe it’s easier this time around because we’ve cut our consumption of those so much!

But she’s also super laid back and just content to watch whats going on. Also very different from Cody! She’s 10 weeks and barely likes to stand. At 2 months he couldn’t get enough standing! he’d fuss unless you held him up!

So it’s been fun to see how different they develop and I think God knew we couldn’t handle 2 very active babies in a row! And we’re loving our little girl so much! (she totally has daddy around her little finger already too!)

First pic of my baby girl!

Taken about an hour or so after she was born. Check out them cheeks!!! And I think she has a neck under there somewhere. :-)

Thanks again for all your prayers and support! We’re all doing well!
