Did you know that you can use vinegar in the laundry? Yup! It actually works great as a fabric softener, helping the clothes stay static free. (I have heard you can’t use this with cloth diapers though) You put one half to a full cup in the softener area of your machine and it helps to rid the clothes of any detergent residue, which keeps them from building up static in the dryer. And don’t worry, your clothes won’t smell like a salad when they come out. There actually is no remaining smell once the load is finished. Best of all, since vinegar is quite cheap, I’ve saved a few pennies since switching from conventional softener, with all it’s chemicals and fragrances, over to a vinegar rinse.
