Gift: Handmade Wooden Rattle
I have a love for wood toys. They’re simple, non toxic, classic, and beautiful. And the wooden rattles from Ogunquit Wooden Toys are definitely beautiful and all are handmade by William John Woods.
From William: I made my first baby rattle about 17 years ago and it was love at first sight. Although I have made many more rattles since then, I still have that same feeling. I like to experiment with different colored woods to create these strikingly beautiful rattles.
As with all of my work, there are no stains or dyes used. The walnut oil and bees wax are enough to bring out the wonderfully warm colors of the maples, cherry and walnut and the plantation-grown redheart, purpleheart and cocobolo. This all natural finish is baby safe as well as environmentally safe.
