Giveaway: Labor Kit

Gift: Labor Kit

I love finding mamas online that hand make items specifically for birthing, a time when a birthing mother needs extra care. When I found Jamie, I knew I had to contact her to see if she’d join us this week!

From Jamie: I am 27 years old, mom to 2 beautiful children and wife to my amazing husband of almost 7 years. I am learning how to raise my children with the love of God, not the foolishness of the world. I find more and more that God is bringing to a place of gentle simplicity. A place where basic replaces convenience, where He brings me back to living like He in-tented. Growing up, I never thought I’d be an organic gardening, cloth diapering, natural birthing mama. I am finding peace in this place of gentle simplicity, and I am hoping that it will not only bring me closer to God, but help me be a better wife and mother in the process.

Almost every item included in my kits is hand made by myself, or another WAHM. Running a business while raising a family is no easy task, and I count myself honored to be able to do this. The only thing in the kit that doesn’t have a personal touch is the massagers.
My kits are designed to be customized, you choose the design, if you don’t like the fabric I put with it you are welcome to choose a different one. I can paint custom designs on the bag, or add baby’s name.
The positions chart is special to me, I’ve sketched each illustration and I believe it can be very essential in advocating different position for birth. Especially in a hospital setting.
I put a lot of time and attention into every item I make, starting with the design on the bag, right down to the last flax seed that goes in the relief pack. Most items can be purchased separately, and I now have new products available for purchase, including cooling scarves and herbal bath tea.
The labor and birthing kit includes:
  • Large, hand-painted Poly-tote bag, measuring 12”H x 15″W x 4″D
  • Hand-made Relief pack 8″x 10″
  • Labor Positions Chart
  • Non-slip fuzzy socks
  • Wooden Smilie faced massager
  • Scarborough Lane 2oz Hand lotion, choice of scent
  • Scarborough Lane Lip balm, choice of flavor
  • 1/2 oz bar of Goats Milk Soap, choice of scent
  • Birth Affirmations
