I Will Carry You {Giveaway}

Last year I had the privilege of listening to Angie Smith speak at the Relevant Conference for Bloggers. I was completely touched by what she spoke about and I also ended up picking up two copies of her book, one  to giveaway here on the blog. It took me awhile to read the book, as I knew the heartache that would be present within the pages, and it was difficult to find the time to read it when I could be alone.

But how blessed I was by reading that book.

If you don’t know much about Angie and her husband Todd, back in 2008 during an ultrasound, it was found that her 4rth daughter would not live. Instead of terminating the pregnancy, they decided to continue on and allow for God to work through the situation.

Angie blogs her story at Bring the Rain.

This book will touch any woman’s heart, no matter what she has or has not been through in her lifetime. Because through Angie’s story, we learn about how intimate our relationship with God should be. And it’s about finding joy in the midst of deep sorrow.

I had just moments to speak with Angie at the conference and had her sign the book I’m giving away. Yes, this is late in coming a year later, but I pray hearing her story now will be a blessing to each of you.

One of my dearest friends’ sister just lost her baby boy two weeks ago. She was 20 weeks into her pregnancy. I’d love to be able to pass this along to her as she heals.

  24. I remember reading about this book – and crying my heart out – because last year I had finally conceived *naturally* at the age of 40…. and I fully realized that I was accepting that baby under all possible conditions – no matter what. Within a couple of days – right before my 16th week, I then lost our baby at home… I didn’t go to the ER, because I knew the process could complete itself without any medical intervention. That precious child was conceived in Joy (on Easter Sunday), and miscarried in Sorrow. The baby’s Due Date was the day after Christmas…. Yet – all throughout the experience, I chose to carry the baby as long as I was given the privilege, because I treasured the gift of its Life.

    We are still praying to conceive again – may it be God’s will.

    ~ Lisa
