Light a candle with me at 7:00 tonight

Today is Pregnancy and Infant Loss Remembrance Day. And on this day at 7:00pm people all over the world will be lighting a candle in remembrance of those babies who were called home to be with our Heavenly Father before we were able to get to know them. Most recently in my own life, my close friends little baby girl, who was called to her eternal home at 39 weeks gestation.

Watch this video and really listen to the song. It’s absolutely beautiful and completely touched me.

And if you have experienced the loss of a baby, may I just take a moment and say how very sorry I am for your loss. May you take comfort in knowing that you were used for a great work in providing for that little baby until the exact moment God called them home. He holds you now just as he is cradling your little one. My prayers are with you.

Won’t you join me in lighting a candle?

  1. I will be lighting a candle with you tonight! For my baby Avery, who went to rest in the arms of Jesus on January 6, 2009.

  2. Oh, this is wonderful! I will be doing it also, in remembrance of Jamison who went to be with Jesus on Sept. 17, 2009. It is so good to know that God says in Psalm 139 that our baby lived exactly the amount of of days that God had planned, and now he is in His arms!
    Praise Him for that joy!
