One Hundred Things About Me

In keeping with a bloggy tradition…..this is my one hundredth post and here are one hundred things you may (or may not) know about me (in very random order!)

  1. I’m 26
  2. I have an eighteen month old son
  3. I am a homeschool graduate
  4. I married my highschool sweetheart (everyone say awwww!)
  5. we met at church
  6. we’ve been married for 7 1/2 years
  7. yes, if you did the math, we were married young! at 19 to be exact :-)
  8. I wouldn’t have had it any other way
  9. I’m the oldest of five girls
  10. yes, that makes me bossy
  11. I’ve lived in the country (a.k.a the boonies, the sticks) for most of my life
  12. Love country living in the summer
  13. Hate it in the winter!
  14. My name is pronounced Don-yell (everybody gets it wrong at least once!)
  15. I don’t think I’ve ever gone even one day without a pet
  16. We currently have a Rottweiler and 2 cats
  17. We even had a horse and 2 goats until we moved last summer :-)
  18. Our son is NOT afraid of animals!
  19. I used to have a pet turtle too
  20. I’m a full time mom, but I also run a part time photo business
  21. I do mostly on location stuff like weddings and seniors, although I do some in house newborn and small kiddo shoots
  22. I’ve loved to take pictures since my parents bought me my first camera when I was like 7
  23. I even got to take free photo classes when I worked at the University
  24. I can’t resist chocolate
  25. or ice cream for that matter
  26. I actually enjoyed being pregnant. Ok, until the last week. Then I was done :-)
  27. I’m quite a book junkie and love to read
  28. My mom actually used to holler at me to stop!
  29. I reread books all the time
  30. I can’t roll my tongue
  31. The first car I drove was a 1987 diesel Suburban – two tone brown. (it was my parents spare vehicle)
  32. The first car I bought was a yellow 1972 Volkswagon Beetle
  33. I even loved it in the winter when the heat didn’t work
  34. I once told everyone I knew that my second grade teacher was retarded (I meant retired!)
  35. I also thought for the longest time (I was 8) that my best friend went to marijuana (Awana) duh!
  36. I am really bad at math
  37. but yet I worked as a bank teller and head cashier for a combined total of 6 years!
  38. I went on a missions trip to Mexico when I was 16
  39. I’ll never forget it.
  40. I have naturally curly hair
  41. and glasses
  42. I’d be blind without them
  43. I have blue eyes
  44. I used to show horses when I was in highschool
  45. I still own a cowboy hat and boots
  46. I haven’t worn them in over 8 years :-)
  47. I keep everything that has a sentimental meaning
  48. In turn I have boxes of ‘stuff’
  49. I used to have 3 piercings in each ear, but all have since closed up since the baby started pulling on them
  50. I detest hot dogs and hate the smell of them
  51. After working in a coffeehouse, I became quite a coffee snob
  52. I think that was my favorite job
  53. I’m starting to love cooking from scratch
  54. I usually bake something everyday
  55. mostly bread as we eat a lot of it
  56. In turn I love my bread machine, it better not ever break
  57. I can be very stubborn (my poor husband)
  58. I do try not to be
  59. I used to sing a lot, I took voice lessons for over 3 years
  60. The only songs I sing now are lullabys
  61. I wanted to start my own babysitters club after reading the books
  62. and I wanted to be Nancy Drew
  63. I thought I was gonna be a vet when I was 14
  64. I hate the sight of blood and sores
  65. I can change my kids diapers all day long
  66. I gag when changing other kids
  67. I’m a new fan of RockBand
  68. although I try not to play to much
  69. I’m very allergic to poison ivy
  70. I get it every summer
  71. We lived in a camper for a week while we built our house
  72. we soon moved to my moms. A week camping was more than enough!
  73. I was in the brownies (girl scouts) for one year
  74. and also 4-H for many years
  75. I cry at everything
  76. even commercials!
  77. when I was pregnant it got even worse.
  78. I’ve never been out west, but would love to go
  79. I can’t swim very well
  80. and lakes gross me out
  81. but I love to be at the beach even though I rarely get to go
  82. I drive a Jeep
  83. I love it but hate the gas mileage
  84. I love 80’s music and all the stuff I listened to in highschool
  85. I collected beanie babies during the ‘fad’ days. they are now my son’s toys
  86. I used to play softball
  87. I haven’t played in like a million years
  88. I have never lived by myself
  89. I’m right handed and am not very coordinated with my left hand
  90. Thunderstorms still make me wary
  91. I don’t like snow and hate cold weather
  92. that’s why I only jog in the summer
  93. I’m quite happy being a stay at home mom
  94. I get to play all day if I want
  95. OK – I also get to clean and cook all day too!
  96. I like blogging – it’s a connection to the outside world. the world that I don’t see to much of at the moment
  97. I can literally talk all day about nothing, just call me and find out :-)
  98. I eat a ton of snacks while watching the biggest loser
  99. The Office is one of my favorite shows
  100. Best thing is, I’m a child of God

    I lived in the country 0-6 and then 10-17

    I wanted to be a vet tech about that age.

    I was a campfire girl so close to the same thing for about the same amount of time.

    Was in 4-h as well.

    Straight from my parents house to be married. :)

  2. I totally didn’t add in the part that most of my stuff is still at my moms! I originally took it with me and then put it there ‘temporarily’ in her barn while we were showing our house to sell it. You know to make it look more open and bigger. Haven’t gone back to get it. Looked through it once to throw stuff away, didn’t throw anything away, and put it right back!

    I homeschooled until the 8th grade. I was also a Missionary Kid so we had “unusual” circumstances. I LOVED Nancy Drew. I also hate cold weather but unfortunately live in New England where we have about 6 months of cold weather-bleh. The list goes on but I won’t write it all here.Oh,and I’m a good 4 years older than you. Enjoy your blog!
