Homemade Pizza Sauce {recipe}

Pizza Sauce

We love our pizza around here, but currently can not handle the cost of buying organic sauces. So I started making my own! We’ve found that we much prefer a homemade pizza sauce to a jarred sauce any day of the week, and enjoy the change of flavors we can control.

Making your own sauces is definitely an easy way to add flavor to your food and a few extra dollars in your pocket.

Homemade Pizza Sauce

15 oz  tomato sauce
2 Tbsp parmesean cheese
1 tsp minced garlic
3/4 tsp minced onion
1/4 tsp oregano
1/4 tsp basil
1/8 tsp black pepper (I just shake some in)

Mix all ingredients together and let sit while you make up the dough, or for about 10 minutes or so. Then, it’s ready to go!

    This is a fantastic pizza sauce recipe! I had to substitute nutritional yeast for the Parmesan cheese, though, due to a severe dairy allergy in the family… but it was still great!! THank you for sharing!
