I have not done that with eggs but I have over cooked a potatoe in the microwave. Started a small fire. when you first don’t succeed, try try again. lol

@Heather, Put them on to boil, went downstairs to nurse the baby, TOTALLY forgot until I had to go back upstairs to change her about a half hour later.
Note to self : Must set timer!

@donielle, That is EXACTLY why I always put my timer on when I put something on the stove or in the oven. I know myself too well!
